Deer, deer what a busy day!
OK, extremely bad taste but someone had to do it
BARC general testing today at Thruxton provided more than its usual crop of spills, spins and broken cars. They were in the ditches, climbing the armco, getting beached, performing very artistic spins (shame about the technical merit), playing hide and seek with wheels from their meccano kits, deciding the engine wasn't good enough and tried to bury it in a field and then picked on the wild life and tried to take a venison joint home. Still a good and busy day, thanks to Post 11 & 14 for the entertainment though venison will be off my menu for a bit. Glad to know that all the drivers involved were OK, a couple of cars will need a bit more than a polish but unfortunately the deer became a casualty. |

No eye-deer.
Hope the marshals were better prepared for their start of season than the drivers and wildlife by the sound of it. |

Blimey, it was so busy that I had to 'do' running and everything!

I took the kids up for the day for a picnic and run around. I saw Mr Jackson and Mr Harris with flags in their hands at the chicane and had a good chat with them during one of the many red flag periods!
Lovely day, hope it's not the only sunny day at Thruxton this year. |

I think the 'change of surface' flag can now be re-christened as the 'road kill' flag!

That was one very busy day, but good practice, one very lucky Formula Renault driver the deer took his wing mirror off so couldnt have been far from his head at over 130mph I would guess.
Norbert I had it as Post 14: 3 Post 12 :2! |

I am glad Trevor had managed to man Post 14 otherwise I would have been 2 stone lighter with all the running I would have had to have done. Well done to you and Ash though. Post 14 hardly ever gets hit and then when you 2 are there it gets hit twice in one day! |

Ahem, the cripple did a bit a running as well, admitted only short range It was all Norbert's fault in any event, as soon as he touched the yellow flag a strange magnetic force field was created.
