Flav sticks around a little longer
Autosport is reporting that Flavio Briatore is to stay at Renault until the end of 2006 (one year more than before).
Great stuff. It should aid continuity at Renault and I like him being around F1. |

Yes, a sensible move for both Flavio and Renault. |

Thanks, although it was sort of lost.
It is interesting how long it will be (as mentioned in the Alonso thread) - is it one year at a time. Flav was talking with certainty at retiring when the current contract was up it seemed. |

Flav is on a rolling contract now I believe, whereby he can extend his stay for a year each, errr, year.
A welcome decision this. |

Flavio...
I have to agree that it's great to hear that Flavio will be walking up and down the pitlane again next year. He is a colourful and passionate individual who has brought his own unique style to f1.
I can only take one Ron Dennis and I'm more than thankful that Flavio has stayed in the sport, albeit for a year at a time. Tye |

There are too many adjectives to describe Flavio, but the ones that come to my mind are: Astute, businesslike, clever, (tho' not always intelligent IMO), brave and more than willing to take a risk. I welcome his continuace in F1 for the forseeable future. |

Yes, Flavio is a love-him-or-loathe-him person, but i think it's great for him to be in F1. A tough player...i think people would think twice about stepping on his toes. The way he does things may bring some questions...but no doubt he's highly effective.
