DTM 2005 Calendar 2005
Does anybody know if there's anything approaching a provisional calendar? I couldn't see anything on dtm.de
I'm assuming Brno is being retained on the calendar? I'm looking into going to one of there races this year, and Brno looks good. Last edited by mcurtis26; 22 Nov 2004 at 13:32. |

I have to say this calendar is not official confirmed.
Hans Werner Aufrecht has said against Belgian journalist they are negotiating with Helsinki and Moskou for a race in 2005. Last edited by FIRE; 22 Nov 2004 at 17:59. |

Thanks for that Fire. Helsinki is news to me, would be nice to see it back on the calendar, produced a good couple races. Spa is also looking very tempting.

No round in England again, that's disappointing - I went to the last meeting they had at Donington and really enjoyed it. I might have to look at going to Zandvoort instead...

Also looking forward to seeing them at Spa, I will definitely go.
Wished they had raced at Spa in DTM/ITC days. But back then "safety reasons" was the official excuse. |

Spa and Avignon I'm really looking forward to, and come to think of it the race at Instanbul shall be good.
Although I'm suprised that there is no return to the Sachsenring. Last edited by luke; 28 Nov 2004 at 16:53. |

There's a huge Turkish population in Germany, so there is a link there.
And Russia is a continually emerging market for cars. |

So the DTM is convinced that they cannot get a crowd in Shanghai then.

Didn't the Shanghai organizers pick up the transportation costs for the DTM? I'm not sure if they're willing to up pick it up a 2nd year?

In Shanghi they didn't let the public go only the elite people from society. As for the A1 ring last time i was there in 2003 i was told it Red Bull had bought it was knocking it down and building a new circuit which i belive is being done.
