Rieger GCJ
That Group C Junior car was built by the former Porsche engineer Siegfried Rieger in 1983. It was fitted with a DFV Ford Cosworth and was entered in DRM and Supercup series.
The Rieger protptype did two outings in the World Endurance Championship. The first one at Kyalami at the end of 1983. Siegfried Rieger and his team mate Rolf Goetz qualified it with the 21st overall time. They were unfortunate to take part in the race because of incurable doors problems. The car reappeared a second and last time in the WEC the following year. Rieger, Gotz and the American Carl Kirst entered the Nürburgring 1000km. Qualified with the 27th time, the car failed to finish because of a broken gearbox. Does anybody can tell me more about that car? Specification, technical data, photos... |
