Chris S should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Brian Simo in the Mangusta charged from the back of the 36 car field to win at Sebring in the season opener of the SCCA Trans Am series. Leighton Reese (Pontiac Grand Prix) was leading the after a last lap restart but was hit and spun out by the polesitter Johnny Miller (Corvette). Mike Lewis (Mustang) was second, with Jeff Altenberg (Jaguar) in third. Good showing for the two new makes (Mangusta and Jaguar) and great showing for Jeff Altenberg in his first Trans Am race.
