Team New Zealand
Following the Taupo announcement (separate thread) more details have come to light about the NZL team in the NZ media. I think this warrants a separate thread since there are quite a few details.
Firstly it has been confirmed that the team has been moved from WSR to SuperNova (as suggested elsewhere). Reason given by Colin Giltrap is that SuperNova will be able to give opportunities to the drivers in GP2, and that there was no dissatisfaction with WSR. Drivers will again be Matt Halliday (who will be in the car in Zandvoort) and Johnny Reid (good news considering he sat out the second half of the first season, and I rate him!). Also in the frame might be Scott Dixon if Ganassi will release him this time, and Chris van der Drift, currently driving Formula Renault in one of the European championships (no doubt taking advantage of the new Friday test driver rule). |

Chris van der Drift:
That's a name up there with Scott Speed if ever I heard one! |
