2010 Silverstone Festival
It seems that the provisional programme is being put together for 2010 meeting.
Pre War Sports is not included. Would have thought the programme should have included representative races from 20's to end of 80's. 90's are to late for inclusion. Best of luck to them but with the unrepresentative field of cars cobbled together at Goodwood masquerading as a Pre War Sports car race and Silverstone race off there are no International Pre War races for these cars in UK in 2010. It's a pity. |

Hi John,
Since you're 'in the loop', do you know anything about a possible rumoured Alfa-only race in the 2010 Classic? James |

Surely the Alfa race would replace this year's Jaguar or Mini races?

Silverstone has now made a formal announcement that the funding for the GP is in place,it would be great if the new circuit lay-out is to be used.

Thinking further about the race programme (as I wait for rain to abate!) we know there is a Pre '63GT and an Alfa race, and that there isn't FJ or Pre War Sports. Anyone got another snippet to add?...... What is the significance of 2010 in Alfa history? |

2010 is Alfa's centenary.
A lot of events for an Alfista next year! Alfa race at Monza Coppa Intereuropa, then I'd have to store my car in Italy somehow for three weeks, then come back for the big celebrations at end of June, in Milan, Balocco, and Monza...amongst others. |

Do we know what circuit is to be used.
It seems very off that the International circuit is lost. |

What have the new Abarth Trofeo cars got to do with the Classic/Historic scene?
Supposed to be a support. See the link:- http://www.trofeoabarth500gb.com/ |

A mistake that, surely, Alan? Apart from the name there is nothing remotely historic about these cars; worst idea yet for one of our leading 'historic' meetings, if true! Actually, no it can't be!
The International circuit is dead, but included in the revisons is a 'new' International circuit based on an extended version of the southern circuit. It won't include Abbey, as you know it, or Bridge, of course. It looks a tad bland to me but then looks can be deceiving; it may be brilliant. Not sure that it will be available until well into next season though, as surely the new pit area will have to be built, first. |

Hi,
can somebody please post the list of races scheduled for 2010 Silverstone Classic or post a link ? I can find anything on their website. BTW: would be a great shame to loose Bridge, it was awesome.. |
