When will a Triple Eight customer car win a race or championship again?
If I'm not mistaken, the last time a Triple Eight customer car won a race was the 2016 Bathurst 1000 won by Davison/Webb while the last Triple Eight customer car to win a driver's championship was the 2010 ATCC won by Courtney.
In either case, these are both ever such a long time ago... So when will a Triple Eight customer car win a race or championship again? With Adderton planning to put a 7th Triple Eight customer car on the grid, are these Triple Eight customer teams really on to a winning formula, or is it a hiding to nothing? If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, but if you join 'em you're not going to beat them? |

The 2010 championship win was the only customer car ever to win the whole thing in the V8 Supercars era. That was more an anomaly than something to expect to occur on a regular basis.
Is there a better way to do it ? Yes absolutely, spend your money and build your own car. You won't ever beat 888 (or any of the majors) at their own game. |
