Your Fantasy Shot ?
Do you have an image in your mind that you wish you could shoot, with certain elements chosen by you coming together to create the perfect picture?
You could perhaps choose the weather, the vehicle, the colour, the driver / rider, the circuit, the corner, the attitude of the vehicle and the background. I'm not asking what picture you'd have most liked to have shot from a magazine or portfolio. Distilled, the question is : when you stand by a circuit, is there one thing you're hoping would 'just happen'? Or could wish to happen? Any era(s), any vehicle(s), anything. E.g. Schumacher with jewelled glove waving from a Duesenberg that sports a bright green Go-Faster stripe. |

Actually, the perfect Le Mans light trail shot would do me, a gaggle of cars heading onto the Mulsanne from Tertre Rouge, with the poplars on the left..... all of which means its a shot I'll never get unless someone finds a way for me to get a media pass, or Canon produce a lens which completely ignores debris fencing......

Lorenzo Bandini cresting Eau Rouge with a slight hint of opposite lock in a 1967 Ferrari 312.
Lit by late evening sunlight in beams of light across the slightly damp track. Expose for the sunlight such that you get an impression of the background and surroundings, but only the scarlet 312 and driver are fully lit as they pass through a streak of light across the track. All the more poignant as the poor lad didn't survive long enough to race Spa 1967. |
