I haven't seen anything other than the official site mention it so far this year. Have you been before? The 'stage' is pretty mickey mouse but does give the drivers a chance to get the cars sideways and have a bit of a play. Usually there is a collection of Andrews Heat For Hire cars and a smattering of Group B and other classic rally cars (Fiat 131, Escort, Mini etc). How many are still running on the Sunday is always a bit of a gamble

The stage is pretty short and previously has been a loop so cars run past the spectator area on their way out and back again - realistically you can pretty much see most of the stage anyway. There's usually a good mix of cars and if you're going to the show anyway it's worth a look. Usually there are RS200's, 6R4's, Audi quattros (long and short wheelbase), Lancia 037, Pug 205 T16 (if it's working), Renault 5 Maxi Turbo, Escort Mk1, Escort Mk2, Fiat 131, Toyota Celica (various ages), Opel Manta and various others pop up too. I think this year they've also got some of the home brew specials that have neatly been banned by the MSA - no idea what these will actually be on the day but I'm hoping Andy Burtons 306 will be there (no idea if he's even been approached but that fits the bill nicely and it's frankly ridiculous that it's banned - but that's a whole different subject).

Yup, usually a good mix of cars and have seen lots of good pics taken on the stage so viewing can't be too bad. Didn't Andy Burton commit the cardinal sin- he beat the 'mega buck' cars in his 'home-build' specials? The fact that he has the talent to drive them as well (especially on home ground) seemed to be ignored.....

Failing that the 'grass' car-parks there often provide a form of rallying entertainment - watching the paying public trying to get out of the parking spaces when it gets a bit muddy.

The viewing is quite good, you're pretty close to the action and you can get unobstructed views (at least if you get to the stage before the action starts).

If you can take on and beat a WRC in something you built in your shed then you're doing something right
