Kind of related, any bikers heading to Oulton via Derbyshire/Cheshire be aware the police are running their biggest ever Bike Safe campaign over the weekend. That means the chopper(s) will be in the air over the Cat & Fiddle and other popular roads and they will be nicking speeders. On the friendly side, they'll also have alot of bike cops up there and will be offering free tuition, showing safety videos and generally doing the community bobby bit.

noone mentioned the mudbath at oulton on the sunday, me, my sister and brother in law and mates got stuck in the mud in a ford ranger pick up with 4wd!!!.
was only my second time at a bike race meeting and i have to be honest im getting more and more into it but i enjoyed the supersport race more than the superbike race, not sure why, guess it was because there was more backfiring and loud noise

I heard Lavilla had a nasty crash in the 1st race. He fell and somebody rode over him. Sounds sick. You see any of that.
He did compete in 2nd race, hero! |

Gregorio came off in the middle of the pack leaving him stranded in the middle of the track.
With all the spray that was present due to the terrible conditions, he was lucky not to be hit square-on by the passing bikes. He was caught by one bike that appeared to run over his leg/ankle as he was knealt on the ground......very lucky indeed Not sure if anyone's interested or if you visit that forum but I have posted a few of my pics from Oulton in the 'Motorsport Art & Photography' thread.
