Things you won't and will miss about Channel 10

Based on the recent Gold Coast and Bathurst rounds, how about we list things we won't and will miss about Channel 10's coverage?

Example:

Will NOT miss:

• That bloody repetitive RPM music
• Going to an ad break when you know something is about to happen
• Coming back from an ad break when something has happened
• Coming back from an ad break when the safety car has gone back in to the pits, only to miss the resumption of racing
• Leigh Diffey
• Greg Rust doing podium work

Will miss (potentially):

• Good ol classic AC/DC music after the race is run
• Neil Crompton's commentary

i wont miss the love affair with HRT and especially skaife

im not sure there is anything i will miss yet, i expect 7 to doa better telecast
aND I IEXPECT THERE WILL STILL BE AC/DC

Even the ABC can do that - even without commercials. Seven did it it back in the 70s and 80s, 9 did it whenever, 10 does it all the time, and I'm sure 7 can do it again.

I'm thinking of this as a kind of wish list. Commerical TV will always not get the ad breaks right, I just reckon 10 gets it wrong too many times.

Leigh Diffey's little fake laugh annoys the crap out of me. And I just wanna head butt a pensioner when i hear that bloody rpm music all of the time.

A few minutes later they commented that they didn't know what position he finnished in.

• Their "graphics problems" (Did anyone else see James Courtney set a 6 hour lap?)
• The annoying "bang" sound in the Zinger replay.
• The "Zinger" replay.

Will Miss:

• Umm... Umm...
• Uh.........
• Er..........
• Their pro-Holden commentary.

I think youll find just the same issues no matter which commercial station telecasts it.
Ad breaks are a fact of life and are mostly scheduled and have little regard for flags, safety cars and pit-stops.
The current talking heads will be replaced by another set................meh!
Its all happened before and will happen again.
I say get Roy and H.G. to commentate!

Won't Miss:
All these bloody threads complaining about every aspect of every telecast.

I won't miss them because I have absolutely no doubt that they will continue next year in just the same vain, only the target will be Ch7 instead of Ch10.
The commentators will be no good, the timeslots will be no good (fitting around the AFL), there will be too much in-car footage or not enough in-car footage, there will be too many technical fill stories or not enough technical fill stories, they will miss some action due to add breaks, they will miss some action due to showing a pitstop at the time. The commentators will make errors and at least one of them will shout too much when the action gets exciting. The music will be annoying and repetative. The commentary will be annoyingly biased towards the red side. The commentary will be annoyingly biased towards the blue side. They won't show any support races, or if they do they won't be the ones you want to see. They will get hammered for airing some pit to car radio chatter where somebody swears. They will get hammered for not airing some pit to car radio chatter where somebody swears. etc etc etc etc etc

And I will watch the telecasts and enjoy every minute of them.
And then I will read the various anti Ch7 threads on here and quietly chuckle to myself.

so bestfit. just to check. you enjoyed watching the pit stops of a guy outside the top ten in championship and race. over what could have been the lead altering pitstops of the guys in 2nd and 3rd in the race (and top 5 in the championship)

Totally agree ... except for Cromley - he's OK.

Add to the above (won't miss):

- Seeing EVERY pitstop, every car trundling along pit lane at 40kmh. Seriously, I've REALLY got a few clues about how to change a tire now.
- Following EVERY car thats in trouble ALL the way to the pits, into the pits, into the garage, onto the truck and back to the workshop. Hey, there's a race on
- Ridiculous cameras - wheels, exhausts, helmets, feet, everything but the race really. I'd like to see one inserted into Rust's head to see if there was a brain there then I'd like another one stuck up Diffey's @arse to see how his words are formed.
