I have a feeling I'm gonna give it to Bearman. Don't ask me why, just got a feeling he's gonna star

I don't usually participate in this and I NEVER vote for Max. Today I have made a couple of exceptions (and if Max could race as cleanly as this all of the time my opinions about him could change too!)

Max. An imperious performance. Huge kudos to the two Alpine drivers.

Yes, it had to be Verstappen, though I would also give a lot of credit to the Red Bull engineers. They obviously got the wet set up right, maybe even discovered something that other teams don't know. I know from (rare) experience that a good wet set up can be a dream, and makes you feel like you're in a different race. (I know what a bad set up feels like too ). The top three at the end were also massively helped by the silly rule that let them have a free pit stop during the red flag period. So, some important caveats, but still Verstappen.

I try to vote for someone who did something special, which means the winner might not often get my vote, unless it won against stiff opposition or otherwise spectacular. Sometimes I have also mentioned that I vote for or against someone I just don't like. So, with that said.
I really enjoyed seeing Hamilton provide some entertainment. He really wrestled that car! I can see why he felt it was a lot of work as considering how much sparks where flying it must have bottomed out like crazy! Tsunoda I'd also like to call out as doing something special. The racist old dog Marko might have multiple reasons for not promoting Tsunoda, and some of those are probably bullshit, but Tusonodas temper and ability to keep cool has been working against him in the eyes of more than Marko. At this race I think he held his own pretty well. When many skated off he took it reasonably easy and stayed on the track up front where he ended up after qualifying. Not too shabby at all. I also like to call out Russel for driving really well. Antonelli might be everything the press (and Toto) wants to talk about, but Mercedes do have a *very* good driver in Russel. But, someone who I strongly dislike did the best job against with circumstances he had, and that was Max Verstappen. He might be an entitled git, but he drove extremely well this day. |

I tbink there was only one contender for DOTR.
However if he wasn't in it, there might have been a good debate about whether Ocon, Gasly, Russell, Yuki or Lawson deserve a shout! |
