Dale Earnhart was one of the best drivers of all time! He was a rookie at Daytona in 79. Racing up front with the likes of A.J. Foyt, David Pearson and Darrel Waltrip. He showed He could get the job done! Race after race, He never did anything average. Always going for the front! True to his roots, He was a good old boy till the end! That's for sure! Cut in the fashion of Neil Bonnet. Dale Earnhart knew how to win! Always a reason to go to the track. Just to see him flash by! It is not going to be the same without Dale out there! I am glad Dale Jr. and Micheal Waltrip are racing this Sunday! Dale Sr. would have it no other way! It shows the caliber of Dales’ family and friends! Racing is not just for fun. It's a way of life! Even with a great loss as this, racing will go on! And I think everyone knows deep down Dale Earnhart will be watching the race this Sunday! Probably from the best seats in the house!

Thanks for your comments Jeff. I agree that Earnhardt was one of the greatest of all-time. Although sometimes death seems to elevate a driver's greatness, I thought Dale was one of the top ten drivers of the world all-time before he died and posted such on another forum back in January when someone wanted everyone's opinions on the top five drivers of all-time.
