1993 ICS Historic Racing Saloon Car Championship

I'm compiling results for volume 2 of "Whatever Happened to the Gold Cup" and whilst I have set of results for the 1993 race 8th August the practice information is not only sketchy but full of anomalies. So does anyone out there have any sheets. I notice the series coordinator was John Davenport so if he is still around anyone got a contact.

Anything would be appreciated even just a grid sheet

As Peter (morninggents) said I am in Spain at the moment but I will have a dig about when I return, the current housekeeper wouldn't have a clue! also the weather is too good to come home at the moment

Incidentally John Davenport (I believe) is still alive ? at 83, I did have an email ad for him but not on this computer. If you delve into him via world rallying you might find a contact somewhere as that was when he was very active as a co pilot to famous works drivers, and of course the "slight" problem he had with the Metro 6R4 debacle!

I wasn't at that race unfortunately so no photos. Gordon qualified 4th in a wet practice but retired after 2 laps in a dry race.
I will get the paperwork scanned and send off to you but it may take a couple of days as I don't have a scanner.

You can get a decent app on your phone to use as a scanner, or simply just take a picture with it!
I can't remember why I retired but I do remember borrowing an engine crane off of Andy Rouse one year at Knockhill to fit my spare engine for the Sunday race. My wife keeps day to day diaries and has done since she was in her early teens so I will have a look when we come back in the cold and rain

May be you can find better but I'm satisfied using "Lens", user friendly, and works on both Android and IPhone.
