Paul Tracy gets his own back

In the wet morning warm-up Paul Tracy issued his own gag order. He spun and was told on the radio that they wanted four wheels left at the end. On the same lap he ran straight threough a chicane, and when they radiod him to take it easy he told them to shut up on Australia television.

Paul did spin a number of times during the session, but kept the car in one piece...relatively at least. Franchitti also spun a few times and destroyed the right front of his car...how unfortunate.

Actually, I must admit, after seeing the new paint jobs on the TKG cars, they are way better than the old ones.

That lap was his out-lap and he spun 3 times, went up the up the escape road once, shortcut a chicane and had contact with the wall breaking the rear end plate, stalled it resulting in a red flag and got an 8 minute penalty.

Those new Kool colours are gorgeous. Too bad we won't see them any more after this year.

Since when have Jim Beam had such prominent exposure on the cars? They had the entire rear wing at Surfer's.

Maybe it's a sign for next year. They could be with Mikey's team in IRL. They could also be with Barry in CART - any relation to Molson?

Hey, didn't I see Michael Andretti do that in '94 (same chicane). Very cool shot! Despite some of his "bonehead" moves (to quote Dario), one of the most exciting drivers around. World need more of them.

In an interview on Channel 10 during the Honda Indy weekend Kim Green said that Barry Green was contracted as a consultant to Andretti-Green Racing for quite a while into the future. Plus Barry was one of the people complaining that CART said the race would end on lap 36 rather than 41.

It's still his team until December. He has to toe the party line or Mikey will void the agreement, maybe.
