F2 Silverstone 3&4 or The 70th Anniversary Rounds!

Couple nore decent races at the weekend.

Ilott gave a great account of himself on Saturday with a controlled and decisive effort for the win.

On Sunday an unbelievable 'cockerel upper' by the Prema boys left Schwartzman's title charge on the back foot!

Having led from reverse pole Robert's tyres faded and came under pressure in the closing laps from his teammate Mick Schu.

When Schu went around the outside of the Russian into Brooklands and tried to get back across the front of Shwartz' to claim the line he seemingly took the Russians downforce away and got punted wide. Mick recovered to keep 2nd but poor Robertss wing got bent into the front tyre and he plummeted out of the points on the last lap!

This let the ever improving Tsunoda through for a well deserved win for Carlin & Red Bull.

Behind these 3 Aitken had held 4th since the start but at around 2/3 distance a big scrap was building up between Deletraz who is more consistent this year, the ever impressive Zhou, Lundgaard, Ilott and Ticktum.

Danish ART driver Lundgaard exited the race in spectacular fashion at Maggots with a punctured front left after a couple of heavy lock ups defending from Zhou.

Both Virtuosi guys Zhou and Ilott made strong progress in the latter laps coming home 6th and 7th with the Chinese' making a last ditch and ultimately fruitless effort to relieve Deletraz of 5th at Vale on the last lap.

Callum Ilott is in the ascendency now but with such depth it will be very hard for any driver to win many races. This season, is providing intense and varied competition and roll on Catalunya!

Tsunoda is steadily improving, I’m sure this win will do quite a bit more for his confidence
