Morning All -
I bought F1 2000 for the PC a few months ago, on the back of the TV adverts alone. I'm running it on an AMD K6/2 500 PC with 64MB RAM and a Voodoo3 2D/3D graphics card. I just ordered another 128MB RAM today, so hopefully that will improve things a lot. However: 1. I'm still no good at it! I used to win every race in Grand Prix 2, but the extra reality is hurting me here. I am improving slowly though. Any hints on how to transfer GP2 skills over?? 2. I have yet to see any cameras or hear any klaxons, or mentions of Stephane Sarazen. Are these not in the PC version, or have I just not got everything turned on? 3. My race engineer is always reminding me that "There's a spin in sector 2, watch for the yellow flags", but I have yet to see a flag of any colour. Even GP2 had marshalls on the side of the road. Am I missing them, or are they not there to see?? Cheers, M |

I only have experience of the PS version, but here goes:
i) With practice, you'll probably find that F1 2000 is way too easy, even on Expert. ii) The Sarrazin thing may just be an error on the PS disc - his name is said when you finish a race as Verstappen. It would probably be much easier for the programmers to alter the PC code, especially since F1 2000 was originally written for the PS and ported over to PC immediately. As for the klaxons, perhaps they are not in the PC version??? Anyone have the answer??? iii) Flags, when on, appear at the top of the screen. iv) The PS version is supposedly far superior to the PC version. However, given the cracks now appearing in the PS version's sheen, the PC version must be seriously lacking in something. Minardi fan. |
