WSBK Round 8 - Misano
World Superbike is back in action after a break. It's pretty much a two horse race at the moment with Biaggi looking quite strong now. Haslam could really use some race wins though.
Supersport is a three man show off between Sofuoglu, Laverty and Lascorz. All three have won a race so far this year, but it really looks more like Sofuoglu vs. Laverty. |

Be good if the Kwaka 600 can win with Lascorz...

Crutchlow, Corser and Haslam on top of provissional qualifying. Biaggi was 5th.
Vermuelen continues to struggle. Didn't realize he was that badly hurt at PI? Ton of wildcard entries in supersport bringing the grid to 25. Last edited by jhansen; 25 Jun 2010 at 15:37. |

Great to see Troy Corser give BMW there 1st WSBK pole position
A Yamaha R6 in 3rd spot in Supersport - factory team should be running around in 2010 |

Dang, Corser had half a second on Biaggi. But will that rear tire last the race?

Dang, Biaggi is looking unstoppable now. That Aprilia is something else.

8 race wins for Max in 2010 now - his title to lose???
How long til the Aprilia is rained in to slow it down? Max Biaggi - 307 Leon Haslam - 270 Carlos Checa - 172 Jonathan Rea - 158 Noriyuki Haga - 151 Troy Corser - 149 James Toseland - 138 Michel Fabrizio - 131 Leon Camier - 130 Cal Crutchlow - 120 Sylvain Guintoli - 116 Still, great racing even though Max/Leon are so far ahead... |

Not one of the classic race weekends, but pretty good solid entertainment.
Biaggi could be unstoppable on current form, and I'm glad Checa picked up some results this time. Scassa continues to excel for Supersonic - surprising to see him running ahead of Byrne and Smrz. As for Supersport, it's such a shame Gino Rea was taken out by Pirro, and that there are no Yamahas fulltime. How much would it have cost Yamaha to fund a competitive private team to run it? |
