Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2024
This tends to throw up an exciting race. This track reminds me like a high-speed version of Phoenix! Few spectators, but better racing than the Arizona circuit. The little single file bit is unique.

A load of upgrades have been made. Walls have been moved, some resurfacing has been done. In all, 16 changes have been done. Be interesting to see how it makes the racing any different.

Still not a great circuit or venue. Much rather they got rid of this and brought back the French GP which didn’t warrant losing a place on the calendar

Was thinking the same thing. They are in a tough position in which they have picked a rookie for late season replacement with I assume dual goals of maybe to score points and to reduce repair bills? Tall order! Rookies will crash.

McLaren are well and truly on a roll after Monza, with RBR only 8 points ahead in the constructor's championship, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

The momentum can easily swing the other way though, although RBR still appear to be in dire straits this weekend

Not so dire. Max or Sergio could win this round and that would put a spanner in Lando's ambitions and in Mr Browns hopes.

Reasons as to why, for "best of the rest", it will be a straight up fight between Haas and Williams. Both showing marked improvement, which should make it the best battle of the race tomorrow.

His fourth consecutive pole at the track but in that time, Perez has two wins there.... It's good to see Charles is fast but what will be the result at the end?

Bit harsh, given its only the young guy's second race, with short notice. This is a notoriously unforgiving track, fast straight, tight corners with different cambers and no run-off, just walls!

And he got through to Q3 when it counts.

Im old enough to remember a young hapless wannabe failure who was nick-named Crashstappen!

Very, very much so. I said with 6 laps to go that it was one of the best drives of his career, and that if the three behind him didn't behave they might well all lose out to Russell and Norris.

Albon and Colapinto scored 10 points between them and Bearman also scored a point for tenth place. Hulkenberg just missed out in finishing 11th.
