Bar Lose Appeal!
BAR have lost their appeal against the Sauer-Petronas team. BAR claimed that in the Austrian GP Kimi overtook Burti under yellow flags. Kimi keeps his points!!!

Right decision. Firstly, Kimi lapped Burti under yellow, not making up a position. Secondly, Button incident was 6 laps earlier and Clerk of Copuse did not know why yellows were still out.

And also the fact Burti backed RIGHT OFF so Kimi couldn't exactly NOT pass. Common sense has prevailed.

It was obvious from the tapes that Burti backed off so much that it was impossible for Raikkonen not to pass him. As Tristan says, it's common sense.
Good for Kimi and for Sauber. And what a pointless waste of time for BAR. |

Good for Sauber and Kimi both. I guess Pollock is not yet ready to assume the mantle of Jean Todt.
It was grasping at Payback Straws anyway and I'm glad they were denied. |

Justice prevails... BAR can go back to trying to beat teams fairly rather than through a cooooommittee. GO KIMI!!!

BAR aren't necessarily bad losers - the extra points would have put them higher than Jordan in the table...

Oh what a tangled web they weave... sportsmanship is obviously dead, and has been for some time in F1. But I can't help reflecting that the fact that BAR picked up points at Monaco may have been a factor...

This is one of the things that I dislike about F1, as apposed to other series, is all the back-stabbing that goes on. The teams will selfishly try to gain any advantige they can, any way that they can do it.
