Best line up BAR 2005
It seems to be clear the line ups of the top teams are clear:
FER: SCH/BAR REN: ALO/FIS WIL: WEB/BUT MCL: MON/RAI i wonder what the perferct line up for BAR will be. (I've been in the western of France for the last couple of weeks because of a good holiday and do not know if this is discussed here already) IMO Dave Richards has to go for Davis Coulthard and Jos Verstappen. The best line up BAR needs right now. Wonder what you think of this (sirious) suggestion. |

Jos? Not a bad idea really, I can only think of a couple of dozen more qualified drivers though.

BAR would sign Coulthard and Verstappen...
...and would left Sato and Davidson out in the cold? Are you sure? |

Ant & Taku I guess. and Villeneuve as a tester |

DC and Sato, no doubt about it. With Ant in a Sauber for a year or two.

Jos would be a good choice for Forsythe, as he's roughly as good as Rodolfo Lavin, who they signed this year. Both have more money than talent.
Coulthard and Sato would be perfect for them - David has experience and direction, which is often what the team has lacked this year, while Sato is on the way to smoothing out the rough edges in his driving. Davidson could be loaned out to Sauber, as mentioned. |

I can't see BAR dropping Sato though (and to be honest I hope they don't - he's great) so either Heidfeld or DC to fill the other seat.

Not surprising that everyone says DC is the most obvious choice for BAR in a British dominated forum!

A lot nearer the mark I'd say than Verstappen.
That has simply got to be cloud cuckoo land, surely? Last edited by Aysedasi; 20 Aug 2004 at 11:53. |

If BAR sign Jos, we can be certain that the world has gone mad. Sato alongside either Heidfeld, Trulli or DC would be fine - Nick could be the best value, but DC seems like the right man to me.

With all respect to the knowledge of the members of this forum who judge Jos Verstappen. I understand my opinion of Jos is biased, as a fan. But I pay more value to the judgements of for example Ken Tyrrell and Paul Stoddart. Both still mean Jos is a great driver who should have driven in a top team with a bit more of luck.
