Mercedes Pre-war LSR car...
Are there any sites on the web that have pictures, drawings, and or specifications of the 1939 Mercedes Land Speed Record car designed by Porsche?

It wasn't designed by Porsche, I think you'll find... Porsche was very much tied up with Auto Union when that car was built.
I think it was the first car in the world to incorporate traction control in its specification. |

Every book I've seen has indicated Porsche designed the Mercedes Type 80 record car. It never raed due to the intervention of the war. There just are very few pictures, and many of the same pictures in these books, and no drawings. I know the car hangs in Mercedes' mueseum, so it hasn't been hidden away.

Ray. Porsche designed the first Auto-Union GP car (The v16) but then was busy designing cars for the glory of the government like the KDF wagen (the VW) and the LSR car built by Daimler-Benz.
