Pilgrimage should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Questions from 2014 about 2015...

I haven't caught up on all the news from this years race threads yet but a few quick questions for 2015...

Did the rumoured Lotus LMP1 project get announced?

Did Nissan launch/ show anything LMP related - the NISMO GTR seemed to be they're "big" reveal?

Was BMW's rather large presence in the Village just to showcase the new M4 or is there something in the pipeline?

Was there any suggestion Ferrari will finally do anything LMP based? Alonso, driver's parade etc suggests it's on their radar...

Anything else I missed???...

I'm fairly sure there's been something BMW-related in the village for the last couple of years?

Also, I read elsewhere, someone's pov that the Ferrari rumours were started by Ferrari and may be a bit of a game re: F1 and haggling! Lot of lengths to go to with Alonso etc. Alonso did say over the weekend that he fully intends to drive at LM in the near future, although that didn't necessarily mean with Ferrari.

I have some questions about this year's race, too:

1. What was the press conference on Saturday actually about then if it wasn't Ferrari?

2. Are there any indications that rumours about other manufacturers have actually got any legs?

3. What happened to the #99 Aston? Who was driving?

the lotus was indeed present in the village, it was unveiled by Albers, Bouchut and Kaffer.

3. Was an incident (didn't hear or see what) when Fernando Rees was driving. Car was not able to be repaired in time - not sure which day it happened though.

1. The press conference on Saturday renewed the ties between the ACO and the FIA for a further 3 years, nothing at all to do with Ferrari / Ford / G56 etc...
2. Aside from the continued comments from Nissan, then no, there were no indications regarding future LMP1 entries. If the Lotus that was unveiled ever races I'll eat my own head.
3. Mr Rees stuffed the 99 Aston into the Barriers on Thursday practice, he managed to bend the chassis sufficiently enough to write it off. Pity for the team as it was looking strong (after removing its sandbags...)

BMW's excuse would be that one of their dealers sponsored the New Blood by Morand car.

1. Sam Collins revealed that Frazer Nash was to be Garage 56 next year, but the project was canceled just prior to the announcement.

Had to be on a very stable ground if a project gets cancelled between decision to announce it and the announcement itself. So it was probably better that it was cancelled.

Hopefully Nissan 's motto for next year will not be "Eat, sleep, do 5 laps, pack up and go home"

Was very disappointed with Nissan and their approach to race this year with the Zeod.

As i was talking to one of the staff at AM he told me that the car could not be rebuild because there were cracks in the tub. ( might not be the right word in english).

During the Friday pit walk I saw Fenando Rees hobbling around with his ankle strapped up so both car and driver were worse for wear.

A real shame. Rees was on it until then.
For an amateur he's really very fast.

But hey, they made Deltathing look good in comparison

Lack of success prevented further cheesy marketing speeches so maybe it was for the best...

Any chance of the F-TYPE Project 7 - featuring/ spawning a LM racer? It appears consistent with Jaguar's philosophy ATM.
