It might be that it is copyrighted footage and FOCA have contacted youtube. On that note it is available in good quality on the 1997 season review.

That's right. Bernie has all F1 footage copyrighted and under control.
Yesterday I watched a TV program, IIRC called "Anatomy of a F1 car".It was about the Toyota F1 car development. They showed everything about their development, specially a new front wing that Toyota used for the first time in the Canadian GP. It was showed all in details until the race, when the program ended with a note about Trulli scoring the first points for Toyota in 2006. No race footage, no cars in the track. Edit: It was showed in the History channel |

youtube are starting to crack down on it now, FOM are sinking their teeth in.
It's a shame that good honest people who want to see a bit of classic F1 footage are being treated like this. I know about copyright and all that, but what harm does it do to the sport or anyone if you see a bit of old racing. It may draw in new fans. Anyhow, I'll stop sulking. |

This is why the crackdown is getting heavier I think. But it was coming anyways, FOM have been piling on pressure for months. |

A difficult time for all. I don't think the purpose of this thread was to revisit those upsetting scenes.
The exact details of the information available at the time is unknown to us. I am uneasy with this persecution post the event and don't think it is in the best taste, especially towards someone who reacted in such a way at Monza on their 41st win. Difficult times, many react inappropriately without full knowledge and/or without reflection. Understanding, forgiveness, moderation and tolerance are appropriate attitudes when remember times like that. |

Try this, watch it on youtube. As soon as its finished, open your temp internet files folder. It will be the last accessed file there, in .flv format. Copy and paste it to desktop. Down load free flv player here
You can now play it when you want. I think you can even get programs that convert flv to mpg or avi |
