Another thing that really gets to me about this 3 factory team scenario is that basically all the drivers for each team will qualify in about the same place on the grid. When it gets to the race they then find themselves following the lead car of their trio and unless they throw caution to the wind have no real way of getting past as their cars will be evenly matched around a lap. Boring. '98 wasn't that long ago but it seems a hellova long way back that we saw frequent brilliant overtaking moves.
It needs sorting out as this championship could be so much better... |

Ganda, you seem to be the only one here who thinks that 2000 should be anything but shyte. The rest of us could see what was happening towards the middle of last season and knew that it'd be a damp squib.
I am beginning to think that BMP are not the bad people that they are made out to be (even if they are involved with the Foulston family) and that they can turn this series around in the medium term. I, for one, would rather they concentrated on that, rather than messing around with this year's series - which can hardly get any worse. The two possible sets of rules they are said to be discussing are both exciting - let's hope they make the right decision for the future. |
