Like it's any of his business!
Right, that's it. Enough that M Skaife has to try to run every press conference, now he's trying to tell other teams what they should or shouldn't be doing.
OK, being a 'control freak' (his words, not mine) is bad enough, but this? FFS! http://www.v8supercar.com.au/news/la...M&gid=19404736 Remember that wonderful Ross Stone quote 'sorry for talking while you're interrupting, Skaifey.' Pardon me. I need a cuppa, a Bex and a good lie down. Kramer |

I suspect someone asked him.
Anyway it is an interesting point, is it a good idea to introduce the new car at this critical point? We'll see... |

thansk marcus, now we all want to know what his original thread title
but it is an interesting question. new car in theory should be a better car, but it may have teething problems. old car, in theory is slower, but is proven (but maybe wearing out) Last edited by peckstar; 10 Nov 2006 at 23:12. |

And the Holden PR machine cranks up to full noise
Who's to say they didnt run the new chassis in other events? Its only ever media hype and the need for new news, new things for the media to talk about that these things get made public..... |

If he put a bit more effort and concentration into his own racing instead of worrying about what others are doing, he might not be as far down the list as far as the championship goes.

Gee you guys arc up at simple things!
Me personally I'd like to sit and read lots of drivers opinions on all of these types of things. I find it interesting myself. Maybe if you wear blue or red goggles some drivers points of view are simply to hard to accept. Anyway, I guess it gives the kids on here something to whinge about. I'd like to see a pole though on who thinks it's a good idea to try a new car at such a crucial round. Or do you simply agree with whatever the team does? |

I've got to say when i heard Lowndes was using a new chassis I thought the exact same thing... why?
Is it the same spec, or is it a new spec chassis? Even if it's the same spec as the last it doesn't mean its going to behave exactly like the old one. We see two car teams with the same "spec" chassis, yet rarely do the adapt the exact same settings to get the best out of each car. Look at Ambrose, he chose not to update his ride, continuing on with an older chassis because it was to his liking. I hope Craig & Rick can fight it out on the race track for the title, of note, Lowndes has missed the top ten, but he is just so good, i'd be suprised if he wasn't further up the road by the end of race 3. Its a risky time to try new things, lets hope Roland & the boys have not changed the mix enough to upset Lowndesy. |

Typical of Skaife. He should be worrying about the huge problems within his and Tom's team.
