Ovals
You may raise an eyebrow to this or you may like it
I've recently been designing ovals, mainly supers speedways, does anyone want to have a competion where we design specific types of ovals, and must include an infield section, that may follow out of the circuit!? I know I want to. Last edited by luke; 8 Feb 2005 at 19:28. |

Great! I was thinking of doing a large size, between 1.3 miles long to around 2.7.
Better if it's larger so you can fit more of an infield, and NASCAR size pits. So effectivly it can be either a medium oval from 1.3 Miles to 2.0 Miles in length or a superspeedway, 2.0 Miles or above in length. 2.7 seems about right as a limit because Talladega Superspeedway is 2.660 Miles in length an boy is that huge. Obviously it has to have a minium of four turns, (entry and exit is two turns). But it can be a tri oval s well. It also has to have banking from 10 degrees in the corners to 35 degrees. The banking can change in the corner for example, Homestead's is 18/19/20. There can also be slight banking on the front and back strech. And the infeild section can be what ever length. Does it sound clear? If not feel free to ask me. |

Yeah! you can have your infield go outside your oval.
Especially essential if you choose to have a smaller size oval. Last edited by luke; 9 Feb 2005 at 18:07. |

Here's my first
It's called St.Petersburg Speedway in Florida USA, and the oval is a length of 2 miles. |

... I love this sort of stuff. I've been thinking about an oval track for a while now...
I'll design one when I have the time later today or tomorrow, but for now, let me show you all something I did a LONG time ago... It's based on the Coca-Cola Speedway in Nascar Racing Season 2002 (maybe 2003 as well) by Papyrus... I think its longer then 2.7 miles though... EDIT: by the way, both the circuit and the oval go anti-clockwise... Last edited by f1freak; 9 Feb 2005 at 22:15. |

Yea, but Coca-Cola didn't have any rev restrictors on like they do in Talladega and Daytona... so that's why ...
