FTR's Fourth Driver Finally Announced

2000 Konica V8 Champion and current Shell Championship driver, Dean Canto, has been announced as the final endurance driver for Ford Tickford Racing (FTR).

Canto will join the FTR squad of Glenn Seton and Steve Richards, as well as endurance specialist Jim Richards, at the Queensland 500 and the famed Bathurst 1000 races.

Canto was offered the drive on the back of his strong performance with the team at the 2000 Queensland 500, his Konica success as well as his vast potential in the V8 category.

That is good news. Dean Canto is a great driver. Let's hope he has more luck than he did at the Qld 500 last year...

Good to see another great young talent getting a decent drive. Have been watching this fella with interest since he was driving in Super Tourers in the Mondeos.

Good luck Canto !

(Puts conspiracy hat on...)

Signing Canto wouldn't have anything to do with the legal action he was taking against FTR would it?

Now - will that action be dropped???

Race Time: You just know too bloody much and ruin the fun for the rest of us... Next you're going to tell us he's going to be pushed down the stairs on race morning and replaced by Crompton!
