probably a very good choice ... the twisty circuit suits teh 2 stroke .. maybe the WCM Yamaha can do better ... if they appear ..

i just got done arguing with some of the folks over at motorcyclenews.com about the KR3 and 2strokes in general. all they have to say is 2strokes are dead, gone, buried, an evolutionary dead end, 4strokes are far superior etc etc. i mentioned that actually 4strokes were the evolutionary dead end, because the manufacturers finally came to the conclusion that there was absolutely no way to improve a 500cc 4stroke to compete with a 500cc 2stroke, that legislation - NOT ENGINEERING - was finally the only way to make the 4strokes competitive.

McWilliams puts the KR3 in 6th place in first free practice, then follows with a THIRD in the first qualifying session!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I disagree. In wet qualifying at Le Mans, McWilliams was the fastest and Aoki third. The KR3 has always done well in the wet- v.d. Goorbergh was fastest in the wet warmup at Assen in 2001.
