New Winter Testing Livery for Williams

http://www.itv-f1.com/ImageLibrary/35406_2.jpg

"WilliamsF1 will introduce a new interim livery when it begins winter testing at Barcelona, ITV-F1.com can exclusively reveal.

The team, which starts work on the new Cosworth V8 engine at Barcelona on Tuesday, will be resplendent in midnight blue with white detailing on both its cars and trucks.

The hybrid FW27Cs will also carry the white flying chevrons and white nose flash that first appeared on Frank Williams Racing Cars in the late 1960s and early 1970s prior to the formation of Williams Grand Prix Engineering in 1977".

Hmmm, car number printed large on sidepod - methinks they still need sponsors... Nice design otherwise though, like the nods towards Williams' heritage (long before even their Saudi sponsorship!)

The giant car number looks awful, the lack of colour isn't all that appealing either.

Reminds me of the Ligier / Prost colour scheme.

I think the "giant car number" is meant to be respendant of the days when cars ran with such numbers all the time in racing circles...

Very stylish.

If only all the teams were forced to run decent size numbers

But are they needed? The bright orange strip on the T-bar is already there to distinguish between team mates easily.

I like it...although it certainly look Prost-like.

And i like the Prost.

The big logo is nice too... more cars should be made to carry it (larger number), but i hope that it won't be a permanent feature for the simple reason that i hope Frank isn't short of sponsors.

But hopefully, the general shade would be carried through. Blue is nice considering we're losing Jordan Yellow, we lost the 98 Arrows pure black. With Ferrari being red while Mclaren gets stagnant with their nice livery of black and silver and having Toyota and Honda both deciding to go after the "national colours" of red and white, blue, to replace our missing Sauber would be nice.

Will help Martin B and James A get the right driver when a big moment happens to them, like when in 2002, Massa spun of somewhere and Allen went 'Oh, and thats Trulli off!!'

Eeeeeeeeeeer, no mate.

It looks much like Penske-Hilton Camaro of the 1968 Trans Am series.

At first glance, I do not like the new livery at al, except for the front part with the Bridgestone logo in particular. The number is awsome too, but the rest leave much to be desired in my opinion.

Large number should be mandatory,if only to help the "casual viewer".Numbers used to be that size anyway.Williams looks awsome in blue,as did the Prost.

RBS logo's and corporate branding are being revamped by a major sign company in the south east at the moment, maybe it's all to do with that.
