where do wrc cars go?
What are the top irish & english drivers going to do with their very costly WRC machines after this ban on world rally cars? Maby the FIA is going to give them all glass boxs just like carlos sainz has for his toyota 165,you know to keep them clean before they all go into rallycross!

Perhaps they will be able to modify them to the Regional Rally Car spec when and if such a class is decided, otherwise as you say the RallyX grids may well be swollen.

The ban on World Rally Cars only applies to the FIA regioal rally championships, therefore it only applies to the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and European Rally Championships.
As for national championships, like the British and Irish championships, which are organised by the local governing bodies, not the FIA, this rule doesn't affect them, they can keep using full spec WRC cars. Last edited by racer69; 20 Aug 2002 at 07:17. |
