Battery Charging??
Canon BP-511A battery (EOS 20D)
I've read the manual and it tells me that my battery should be charged for 100mins + an other hour once the light is perminently lit. As it is a new battery which hasn't been charged before, should I treat it like a mobile phone battery and leave it on charge for atleast 16-18 hours for it's first charge or only what the manual says? Silly question, but just want to double check as everyone says something different and, what a suprise, no service centre or help line is open! |

Would anyone like to confirm as it's gone past the time the manual suggests and I'd like to use it tomorrow, leaving at 5am as I'm going to Longcross I think, may be Longmoor? I get confused between the two!

as far as I've ever known, Lithium Ion batteries don't need a long priming charge so get out there and enjoy it!
