Fiat ads: feel the cheese!
Is anyone else enjoying these stupid Fiat ads they keep televising with Michael Schumacher?
I just love them....cheese at its absolute pinnacle. Feel the awkward voiceovers. See the crazed grins. Baulk at the ludicrous heading of the football. Wonder why Michael has herded three thousand children into his Fiat. Cringe at the campness. Pure class. "Michael what will you be now you've retired?" "Mmmmm....maybe a TeeVee repurrer!" http://youtube.com/watch?v=yCpSWCVIOKA |

They're excellent, albeit slightly embarrasing. Still, the voice over's are brilliant, along with the dubbing. "Maybe AIELL juz stickz to drivingz " |

I am usually on edge during an ad break during the Grand Prix because I want to get back to the action, so this FIAT one lightens my spirit!

MR Schumacher advertising for FIAT? it's brilliant though slightly predictable. Schumacher likes appearing in adverts doesn't he (remember the Vodafone ads)?

Or the L'Oreal ads?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=TZSD4QqPTTk Great dubbing! I remember Michael was very upset about this advert. Last edited by Knowlesy; 15 Apr 2007 at 16:57. |

Welcome to my room, there's nothing to see
No walls, no floor, no ceilings, and just me I draw the curtains, but the curtains aren't there So I sit in the corner and play With my hair I move the chairs, but the chairs don't exist So I lie down to die in ignorant bliss There's nothing There's no-one This is hell in my padded cell... -"Who Cares?" by Altered Images. Oh, to spend eternity in a padded cell with the Pips and Clare Grogan... |

dragging this thread kicking and screaming back to the original topic...
The TGF ad is most amusing! Love it! Regarding the pipettes thou, I really liked the band and thought they were different and original but corporate sell outs!...to Fiat.... Last edited by MrTTraces; 16 Apr 2007 at 12:25. |

In fact, the reason why the video has them in cartoon form is cos it was such a rush deal (and there are no plans for it to be released as a single). At the time the deal was done they were at the SXSW Festival and could not shoot a video. You can see that whoever animated it did not know which one was which - e.g. it's RiotBecki who shouts "why? Why? Why-why-why?" in the song but the video has it as Gwenno. |

I know it's a bit tongue in cheek but TGF is a bit embarrasing. I can see it being a serious ad in various parts of the continent.
Ensign, I don't think you would last 5 minutes with Clare Grogan, but I'm sure you'd have a smile on your face. The Pipettes are in my neck of the woods tomorrow. They are described as the 21st century take on the Crystals and Ronettes. Not your average bimbo band and quite good. |
