'04 Pescarolo C60 "winglets"-Illegal under current regs?
I was wondering that with the big fuss about the rear wingspan reduction for '09-present, I was wondering why some teams didn't do what Pescarolo did in '04 by using a single element wing-like device to join the main wing to an endplate that runs to the maximum car widith of 2000mm?
Was this banned after '04, or have bigger gains been made elsewhere. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, look at the two photos at the bottom of this page: http://www.mulsannescorner.com/couragec60-03-1.html So was this treatment banned after the current LMP1/2 regs came into full force, or did teams think/know that there could be bigger gains made elsewhere? |

They were a loophole in the old regulations, I'd assume the ACO simply eliminated that loophole this time around.
