I'd venture that Raikkonen may be relatively heavy on fuel.

It's good to see Alonso on pole, the drag off the start with him & Schumacher should be entertaining.

In terms of Mclaren, i would like to know what was going on with Kimi, i suspect that it is simply more fuel then other people, as the car has been quick all weekend, so that is definate, and he didnt make some mistake, and it looked like an okay lap.

Good work for DC as well, and thats the best qualifying position all year for this team - 3rd.

with that Renault launch system i expect Alonso to lead after the first corner... after the first round of stops... if MS keeps close behind him it will be MS

It's encouraging that the McLaren works so well on a technical track like this. It bodes well!

Maybe the Michelin advantage this weekend is magnifying the McLarens competitiveness, but I doubt it really.

And I don't think Bridgestone has the pace this weekend....we'll see. It seems rather like last years race to me although less extreme.

I don't really think Michelin have an advantage - I think Bridgestone and they are evenly matched.

Michael's laps before and after pitstops will have to be their ususal brilliance if he is to pass Alonso. Fernando really looked to be on it on that lap, finally showing what he's capabel fo against Trulli.

Kimi's lap was pretty disappointing, as was Montoya's. Whereas JPM seemed to ahve made a misguided setup change, Kimi just didn't seem smooth enough.

I think Kimi's lack of smoothness may have come from carrying more fuel, but we'll find out tomorrow!

You may be right, but according to Martin Brundle, there isn't alot to be gained by running heavier or a different (2 stop) stratergy.
