Interesting Tidbit
The last race in Portland consisted of a podium of all CART/ChampCar champions, with the 2002 champion Cristiano daMatta winning the race, Sebastien Bourdais (2004 champion) finished 2nd, and Paul Tracy (2003 champion) finished 3rd. The last time this happened, you would have to go ALL the way back to July 19, 1998 in Toronto for this to happen. In that race, Alex Zanardi (1997 champ) won the race, Michael Andretti (1991 champ) finished 2nd, and Jimmy Vasser (1996 champ) finished 3rd. I decided to do this after I read an article on KK at the ChampCar website and he stated that it was an all-champion podium.

Very interesting fact, mandretti39!
(picky comment of mine: such a curiousity deserved a thread with a better, more specific title, don't you think so?) Thanks, Muzza |
