No, they're still thinkin' CART/OWRS.
I just didn't want to provide the link because the writer is another faceless D&G'er... http://www.sptimes.com/2004/01/17/Sp..._set__bu.shtml |

Some interesting stuff in there, macdaddy. One thing NOT there is the Tom Begley lawsuit against CART, OWRS, Chris Pook and Dover about ownership of the rights to the race. Begley's attorneys have filed briefs in the CART bankruptcy case.

Good to hear. I was thinking they were putting it on even later.

But even they're waiting for the bankruptcy/auction thing to be settled before they make any anouncements. It's good to hear though. I think the St. Petersburg race has a real shot at being successful, and was definitely the better of the two races in the important Florida market.

IMO, it's the best street circuit on the calendar.
Good track, great atmosphere, huge market. And alot of Canadians! |

That's surprising for me. I expected St. Petes to be off, regardless of what PG & KK said. Maybe it'll happen after all.

It'd be fantastic to have both these races on. Plans are clearly afoot to solidift a schedule, even though there's no certainly that OWRS will win the bidding. With any luck, some negotiations are in place for teams such as Walker, Conquest and Coyne to get out there.
