The camping area for Marshals has yet to be finalised, it's difficult with the construction at the stage that it is at but I have asked for it to be 1. Secure 2. Level 3. Well drained 4. Stone Free and 5. Near the bar....now that has limited the choice a little

Yes Mark, the lack of rain of late is causing minor dust storms at present but the likeness ends there! Once the infield/outfield are grassed over it will return to it's most picturesque self. It ain't no flat 'airfield' type circuit without features and views !! Oooo Noooooo!!! Very driver demanding and as you know....VERY viewtiful scenery!

Bring it on!!!! The circuit looks stunning - there are some pictures on the Wirral 100 website that show the elevation changes. I've said this on another forum, but the way the circuit have just got on with it is astonishing, perhaps they could have a go at the big car park in Northants when they've finished?

Terry,
As you're our man in Ty Croes, can you give an insight as to Marshals protection? I'm led to believe that the entire track is protected by Armco (Or Will be).
Also, permanant Marshals posts will not be available straight away, in order to "Modify" their positions if required.

You are quite right Mark about the Marshals posts, the MSA recommend where the post's should be approximately positioned and logically it would be silly to position posts on a permanent basis straight away only to find that they are in the wrong place by a metre or two and with that in mind the remainder of this year will be all about getting the post positions and the flag points right in order that they can become permanent and in the right place for the future. If you think about it Oulton Park (and most other circuits for that matter) are still shuffling the post positions after 50 years so it is a mammoth task to get things right first time especially with a completely new circuit but believe me.....Richard and the team will get it right!!! As far as protection is concerned for marshals, the run off areas are 'extensive' to say the least and then the marshals will be either behind 'Armco' or on a high bank with 4' - 5' tyre walls. The viewing is superb with most posts having extensive views over not only their own sector but lots of other parts of the circuit as well. For info and updates (and to avoid the rumours!) keep logging on to the circuit website and especially the all new 'Marshals Section' http://www.angleseycircuit.com/marshals.html where we are going to put the dedicated 'marshally' bits of information or you can always e-mail the Anglesey Circuit 'Orange Torque Line' direct at marshals@angleseycircuit.com And just a small correction to Garry's last post, the photo's on the Wirral 100 site have now been removed for technical reasons, sorry guys....but only a few short weeks and you will see it for real

The first meeting is actually the LCCC/MGCC Sprint 19/20 May and scheduled to be on the National circuit. Volunteers always welcome and as this the first meeting on the new circuit we will need all the help we can get.

Entry list is usually between 90-100 cars anything from minis to Porsche GT3 and sometimes the odd Pilbeam hillclimb car.

The bit I have pitched on for the June sprint meetings for the last 2 years is still green, nad has stayed green on all the photos Ive seen of the redevelopment,

Its the bit near the fence running from the med centre to the bar along the pit lane , very rocky underneath but near to Bar!

Chester MC have a sprint in June this year as well, usually a good weekend, with the eclectic mix of cars that a sprint brings, from standard production upto full blown single seaters

I put that in the category of one of the most sensible things I've read in years. Well done that man.

Now, if you could just bring the circuit a little nearer to... well, anywhere, really! Seriously, good luck with the first meeting and all those that follow. It's wonderful to see something being designed with the right priorities.
