Group A Mazda Luce
Hi all,
Have been browsing some of the Group A threads, and came across Hans van der Beeks 929/Luce. Does anyone have any information on this vehicle, eg specs, history, where it is now, and if there were any other Group A Luce' in the world. Quite an interesting car, would love some more details on it. Thanks in advance, Sam |

Sam,
I think that the van der Beeks car was the only Luce entered in Group A racing anywhere in the world. The most interesting technical feature of the 929 was that it did not use a turbo, but used two rotors in the engine. The car competed in the 1600cc-2500cc litre category of the Dutch Group A Championship. |

Thanks Graham, I knew it used a 13b, rotaries are VERY popular here in lil ol NZ, that's what piqued my interest in the car. Would it have used peripheral porting like Allan Moffats Group C RX7, or the standard (I think side port) configuration?
