Help needed
Can you guys help! currently looking for any Information on Belguim Rallycross Driver Frans Thone! in 88-89 he drove with a vw polo 4x4 and in 91-92 with a Red VW beetle both in the belgian championship? Any Pics would be grateful as I am researching for a friend.

Are you sure about this one? I have been to several rounds back then, both NRC, BRC and ERC and can't remember a 4x4 Polo. The only 4x4 VW back then was the VW Golf II Syncro with Turbo of Robert Vereeken...

There once was a Frans Thoné in Belgian RX, but I do not remember more than his name.
 Perhaps the Ice Farmer does…

If you google Frans Thoné (from Hoeleden) it seems that he is a VW specialist and still doing some kinda Autocross…

There is a Jo Thoné doing Folkraces in Belgium with a green Ford Escort. I have no idea if he is any relation to the person you are looking for. I think he is a member of one of the Belgian forums.
