2014 WTCC Race of Argentina - Termas de Rio Hondo - Round 8
According to the Argentine media, there will be 2 drivers from Argentina - Camilo Echevarria is to drive a TC2 car. Though, he hasn't appeared on the official entry list! It's believed that this rumor will be confirmed soon
In terms of racing, I expect to see what probably will be best racing this season, the track is perfect for touring cars. In general it should be again Citroen against private Chevys, Valente has done here well last year |

Surely not this year, I hope to see a 3rd works Honda in general next year (if they really want to give competition to Citroen)
Meanwhile, Echevarria is going to drive for Engstler. It's a surprise, I was expecting a drive for Campos, even though Martin Haven spoke that Di Sabatino has signed only for a part of the season, so there was a possibility that this seat will be free Last edited by Rubio; 28 Jul 2014 at 19:40. |

#WTCC Compensation weights this weekend
@Chevrolet +40 kg @CitroenRacing +60 kg @hondaracingwtcc +20 kg @ladasportlukoil 0 kg I don't care what the lap times say and how they calculate the compensation weights. how in the hell does Citroen get 1-2-3 finishes every race and Chevy gets weight added? |

Simply because Chevys closed the gap - it's not 1,5 second anymore, it's 0,5 second. Don't forget that Morbidelli actually won the pole at Salzburgring. Before Colgenport Chevys will lose some weight because Salzburgring will be deleted from calculation. The weight system doesn't depend on spots, it depends only on the gap. You may do a 1-2-3 even with 0,2 advantage

Times are close. Hope that Honda's developments really helped them to close the gap. Though realistically the question is whether someone can hold the Citroens in Race 2. Anyway it's only practice |

Was dissapointed with Race 1 obviously but Race 2 compensated everything - probably one of the best races this season alongside Moscow-2nd race. Stunning job by Huff and if Lopez hadn't passed both Michelisz and Muller on lap 1, i believe we would have seen a sensation! Lopez was absolutely brilliant, I have to say it was more his win than Citroen's
Again Michleisz faster thatn Castrol Hondas and again Hondas are holding each other. I believe Honda didn't give proper challenge to Citroen also because poor management at JAS |

Lopez is really a superstar! He easily outclassed the rest of the field. IO can't imagine anyone else winning the championship. However, Muller looked very unhappy. I'm sure he wants to show that he is the best in the last few races. Citroen luckily lets the drivers race eachother apart from the first weekend, so hopefully we will see some duels for the win between them.

One of this, the super TC 2000 required that the leader of the championship, was back 12 places in the starting grid. There he learned to overcome a lot of cars. |

The track lends itself to good racing, and race 2 was the best WTCC race I have seen for ages. The Muller and Chilton battle was epic for about 3 laps. Lopez was great, and its good to see Lada more competitive.
