Proposed Superbike Race Cancelled

Mondello Park Ltd today (3rd October) confirmed that the projected non-championship race for the
British Superbikes, which had been co-ordinated by Barry Symmons, would unfortunately not be going
ahead.

Despite much work by both Symmons and the circuit management, the problems caused by the short
timeframe proved impossible to overcome before the proposed race date of 27/28 October. "All the
major teams are naturally disappointed but look forward to putting something in place next year"
Said Symmons.

Mondello Chief Executive Steve Lydon said today "An event of this type takes a huge amount of time
and effort to organise properly, and we felt that it would be impossible to have everything in place
in the time available to ensure the professional presentation of the race meeting. However, we hope
to work with Barry with a view to staging something in the future".
