Ahhh that's rough news - https://twitter.com/DukeVideo/status...24315174174723

In their infinite wisdom I'm sure the ACO will continue to produce their usual sh*t offering which is 70% off-track and 30% track action.

It's a shame as those Duke edits coincided with all my trips to Le Mans starting in 2011. I know they're a little long for some people's tastes but I enjoyed getting stuck into them.

That’s terrible news.I would be amazed if the ACO one is as good as the Duke ones have been.

Of course the ACO “deciding to do something themselves” could be a decision not to make or licence a highlights Bluray/DVD.Seems unusual that the Yearbook is up for preorder in the usual places but there is nothing about a highlights release anywhere.
If so a big pity.

Welcome ... to Le Mans 24 Hours Full Access.

I'm not being entirely serious, but it's an option.

I was actually looking for the Blu Ray at Duke only yesterday. I've bought the Duke reviews since the SportsSeen RLM videos stopped being made. I have a review for every year I've been (plus the two I missed recently). This is really disappointing news. I did order the collector pack from the ACO months ago, simply because I wanted their video to see if the footage they shot of us in the grandstand this year was on it!

Guessing that the ACO wanted a lot more money from Duke. Then Duke decided what they wanted would mean it was not financially viable to produce. Then no one else thought it was financially viable either.
Then the ACO being the humble people they are went back to Duke and offered to revert to the previous arrangement.Sorry the last sentence was delusional.

Full replays are available on their YouTube channel already.I think the market is for Bluray quality footage which is beyond the capability of a lot of streaming. Also the 4 Hour package hits the spot in terms of detail and watchability.
Best hope is that they come to an arrangement with Duke for 2023 and beyond and this year is an anomaly.

It would be interesting to know if this is true - I want to say the ACO asked its members about this recently, but I'm not a member. But I wouldn't bank on the ACO going back to Duke unless their own effort tanks.

Four hours is the right length; I don't think this will change, but the composition probably will. It can work, Full Access has been edited well, but 10-minute digests and 4-hour recaps are very different videos to edit for.

The ACO Le Mans Official Films are only 90 minutes with apparently a lot of non racing filler.I’m guessing they don’t sell any/many in competition with Duke so have eliminated the competition.

The ACO have listed their 2022 offering. The usual 90 minutes. The usual format -rubbish.
No attempt to make something like the Duke format.
Easy pass.

Not only that. A DVD... Hello it's not 2010 anymore, I want at least a Blu Ray, like Duke is selling since 2011.
