V8SCFC'13: R14 Sydney 500 & Prizegiving!
Top Ten
Hard Charger Award BlueBlood Motorsport +4 Biggest Loser Award Kittle Racing Developments, Twodollarshop Racing -2 Final Standings:
The Paul Radisich Trophy For Reckless Endangerment of your Vehicle in the Pursuit of Championship Points. This trophy goes to the hardest of hard chargers, the team whose cars have bonnets shaped like accordions, holes where the headlights used to be, front suspension held together with sticky tape, and a spotless rear bumper. The Paul Radisich Trophy for 2013 goes to..... BlueBlood Motorsport! for winning two Hard Charger awards amongst five appearances on the right side of the ledger. Congratulations BlueBlood! Special mention to Zoom Motorsport, who topped the charts with three Hard Charger awards, but blotted their copybook sufficiently to let BlueBlood past. The Precast Concrete Federation Salver For Reckless Endangerment of your Vehicle for No Good Reason. This salver goes to the greatest of the gutterballers, the drivers who simply cannot keep their car on the road and would rather do doughnuts in the sandpit or test the crash rating of various fences and walls. The Precast Concrete Federation Salver for 2013 goes to..... Mighty Brighty Motorsport! for 'winning' the Biggest Loser twice amongst four BL appearances, along with three minor HC placings. Congratulations(?) krypto71! Special mention to Drug Squad Racing, who achieved the same BL rating as MBR, but didn't yo-yo up and down the rankings nearly as much; and to GoGetEm Racing, who were the only other team to 'win' two Biggest Losers. The Enduro Cup For Going Longer And Harder Than Everyone Else. This cup goes to the team that scores the most points over the three Enduro rounds. As reported elsewhere, the Enduro Cup for 2013 goes to..... Silvercrest Racing! for scoring a total of 1575 points in the Enduros. Congratulations Lebanza! The Attention Whore Cup For Getting Your Ugly Mug In Front Of Camera As Often As Possible. This cup goes to the team that loves the spotlight so much they were *always* on the podium, even when uninvited. The Attention Whore Cup for 2013 goes to..... Flying Kiwi Racing! for scoring a total of seven podium trips (five wins & two thirds). Congratulations JC Ohope! Another five teams scored six podium visits each, which gave the post-race speeches a heavy sense of deja-vu. The Roland Dane Mahogany Cabinet For Winning All The Time. This cabinet goes to the team that won so much they've outgrown their old trophy cabinet. The Roland Dane Mahogany Cabinet for 2013 goes to..... Flying Kiwi Racing! for winning at Symmons Plains, Pukekohe, Barbagallo, Ipswich, and Bathurst. Congratulations JC Ohope! The Pete55 Memorial Trophy For Winning It All. This trophy, dedicated to a former forumer, fantasy team owner, and two-time top-3 V8SCFC finisher, goes to the team that wins the Ten-Tenths V8Supercar Fantasy Championship. The eleventh name to be engraved on the Pete55 Memorial Trophy is..... Flying Kiwi Racing! Congratulations JC Ohope! After a surprisingly even season (due mostly to half the field hiring the same drivers), Flying Kiwi Racing managed to break free from the pack to comfortably claim their first Pete55 Memorial Trophy. Axeman Performance Racing recorded a career-best season with second place, just 1 point clear of third-placed Eagle Motorsport, while L&P World Famous Racing just beat out BoW JRT for fourth. Defending champions Brendon Engineering finished their campaign in ninth. Thus ends the 2013 season, and Fabian Coulthard, Jason Bright, and Scott McLaughlin are all off on a very well deserved vacation! They will be back, along with the rest of the field, and the new-style Swedish Valiants, for the 2014 V8Supercar Fantasy Championship in the new year. See you all then! Cheers, Antro |

Wohoo! despite my team having possibly the most overworked set of drivers in the V8SCFC it's great to come out on top after a good performance in the enduro cup
Congrats to the other podium places, bring on 2014. Thanks for running it as always Antro, it's really awesome and I look forward to the next one. |

Antro,
Thank you as always for running the competition. Happy Dragon TeamMVMotorsport looks forward to the 2014 season, where we will look to make amends for the last 5 (or is it 6) seasons of disappointment. Speaking of which, is there a master spread sheet with the results year on year? At Christmas I would be happy to produce some historic stats if there is. |

Whooo! Finishing with a win, a couple of podiums for the year and a couple of hard charger awards, but a high and low year keeps me from troubling the championship winners.
Thanks Antro again for a great championship. |

Thanks Antro, awesome job as always.
The late change to get into the top ten paid off well. Excellent end to the year. |

Well done JC, you breaking away with your squad for the last round even proved beneficial!
I've seen the spreadsheet that drives all this in the backend people, and it is scary. Took a lot of effort to setup. Thanks as always Antro for running a great comp. |

End of Season Review:
Thank You's: First, must thank Antrodemus for keeping the ship steady for the c'ship. Considering most teams had the same drivers, it was good fair competition...top efforts to all the teams who received awards, and well done to everyone else who participated, hopefully next season will be just a competitive. Summary: Overall, good fun all round, and pretty happy with the final result for my rookie season. 18th is a good starting point and top 10 in the enduro cup was a nice bonus. Will look to tweak the team over the summer, and be ready for a jam-packed 2014. I must have been the only team who didn't change drivers at all (apart from the minor fix-up at the opening roll-call), so overall, I'm proud of my team for the first up effort. Merry Xmas & Happy 2014 'Bring it On!' Pascofi Motorsport |
