Well, the first step is to say out loud "DAMN YOU BILL GATES!!!". Then try de installing and re installing GP3. If that doesn't work re install DirectX. If that still doesn't work try looking for the file DPLAYERX.DLL and re installing it (don't do this if you're not sure about how to do it though). If that still doesn't work the try re installing the latest drivers for your video card first then re installing the latest version of directX and finally re installing GP3. If all that fails I suggest you ask the guys at the board at www.3dfiles.com. They've solved every single problem I've ever had.

I reinstalled GP3 again, no luck. I changed the drivers, no luck, and now it's asking for some sodding disk to put the original RAGE Pro driver back on. I reinstalled Direct X 8 and nothing changed. And Hasbro haven't replied. B*STARDS.

Mhhh....that's strange. Are you having any similar problems with other DirectX games? Also, if you have Norton Utilities try running it just in case something messed up your windows registry. I once had a similar problem with Need for speed 3 but it was because I was trying to run the game with Glide 3D acceleration but my video card (despite of it being a Voodoo) only allowed me to play it using Direct3D so I had to add something to the command line to force to run on Direct3D.

Mhhh, looking for that file in my computer I found 3 copies but none of them was related to GP3. They were related to Need for speed HS and NFS Porsche unleashed and one to midtown madness. Mhhh....but the file exists on the GP3 Cd....weird....do you have any GP3nocd utility installed or something?

I tried to install the editor and things, and the no cd utility was one of those - is that what is messing it up?

Mhhh. Could be because with the nocd utility the game can't get that file located in the CD. Try installing it without the utility and see if it works. If it does then try installing the nocd utility and transfer the file dplayerx.dll to the gp3 directory on your PC. Also look at the nocd file for a readme or install file ans see if there are any modoficatios that have to be made or files that have to be copied.
