Bad news re the sponsor in TO.
Not unexpectably Steelback Breweries are out as sponsor of the Toronto race according to the Toronto Star. As Steelback are under bankruptcy protection this is no big surprise. They spent more than double their sales income on advertising and promotion and have a huge debt load.
The race organanizer claims to have 6 companies interested in taking over the title sponsorship but no names. As the Toronto race is a success as both a race and a happening this is quite possible. |
