Minardi fan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
From Planet F1:

The one horse power of
Minardi

July 25: Where will Minardi be on Saturday, at
Hockenheim or Ascot?

At Hockenheim, qualifying for the German Grand
Prix? Yes - but the horse of that name will be at
Ascot, making his debut in another high-powered
big-money sport.

Minardi is a two-year-old colt trained in Ireland by
the all-conquering Aidan O'Brien, and this one
horse-powered Minardi holds an entry in the EBF
Crocker Bulteel Maiden Stakes, due off at 5pm.

The American-bred colt is owned by Michael Tabor,
who probably has the wherewithal to lend Bernie
Ecclestone a tenner should he go short, and Tabor
tends to name his horses after musicians or writers
(he also has Hemingway entered in the race).

But he has given this potential speed star a link
with Formula One - the only question is who is the
faster?

Rumours that Gaston Mazzacane and Marc Gene
have been taking riding lessons are (probably)
unfounded...

Well there you go.

Here's a picture of the horse.
As you can see it has almost the same colour as the car.

You can't fool us, Gerard. That's not the real horse.

That's the wind-tunnel model.

Amazing developments; no more sidepods, radiators inside the nosecone. Double tiny airboxes on top. Very interesting stuff.

... and early testing has shown that the Minardi MR.ED.2 is substantially faster than the current car. It is also on a par with the Prost AP03...

Heeeeerrree'ss Jooohhhnnnnnnnyyy!!!

That's only because Johnny's more interested in driving fast cars, hence his yearning for IndyCars - oh, and his Goodwood rubber-destroying display in the XKR...
