KennyG should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Oulton Park - Wet and Dry

With so few Porsche running in the championship these days, it is hard work trying to get interesting shots. The dry one is from Saturday and the wet one is Sunday's abandoned race.

Ken, with the second one, when one can clearly see the big splashes of each raindrop, you know it musta been coming down cats and dogs...looks pretty vile.

good thing you've got well sealed equipment, and hope to hell it was under some sort of hood or umbrella or something....

I was not there on the Saturday but visited on the Sunday... it was quite nice until all that rain!! Here is one of my Porsche shots;

I then decided to put the camera away for a while and took shelter under a tree!

It is a shame about the low number of cars though... at least the cars are a little more colourful this year!

RaptorUK has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
KennyG,

That is an excellent shot from Sunday, I had moved just before the Porsches came out, I only got a few side on panning shots which aren't very good due to me trying to shoot from under an umberella

A couple of shots from Saturday, Young ended up being excluded:

I managed to take a few snaps in between marshalling duties (Friday PM and Sunday AM after fire training)

So that's why you like the wet! For me, the 'dry' one is a good photo, the 'wet' one is a good picture. I'm sure you understand the distinction I'm making.

Aah! The first photo solves one puzzle but poses another one 'When did he change/damage his front bumper because the one in the second race wasn't the same as the rest of the car?'

Ken, as usual, your photos are brilliant - the effect of the rain in particular (and on the other one on your site).

Here are some of mine to add to the mix, first from Sunday, then two from Saturday.

Cheers
Matt

Dave, two good reasons for liking the wet - great chance to get pictures the fair weather types don't, and watching Meg the Old Hall doctor dancing on the track. Who could ask for more

Nice pan shots Matt by the way.

I'll throw in an FR and a BTCC shot.
