alcohol
just a passing thought & a silly one at that, but can BTCC drivers drink on race weekends & do they get tested for alcohol levels?

It's real enough.
I believe the MSA treats alcohol in the same way it would any other drug or stimulant, but I don't know of any recent cases of anyone being tested. It's certainly not unknown for drivers to down the odd beer or two on a Saturday night prior to a race. BTW in theory you could also be stopped from racing if you'd had too many cans of Red Bull. |

Did Jason Plato illegally win the 2001 BTCC then? He was always going about with that Red Bull drinks bottle.....

I heard two cans of red bull will get you done for doping in athletics, so if the same criteria apply then.... well you know the rest!

Quite right 'sceptic' ... JP had a Personal Trainer who promoted drinking plenty of water.

Red Bull... alcohol?
Having an Irish wife and knowing lots of Irish people, I've always been a bit dubious that colin Turkington's illness owing to food poisoning that deprived him of his poll start at Mondello last year was quite the truth.... |

It was the dodgy Mondello Park water supply in the paddock.

Craig - I think you're being a bit unfair to cast doubt on a drivers professionalism
